Peter and the Wolf
It has taken five years to produce this wonderful animation,
which tells Prokofiev’s classic music tale of Peter
and the Wolf, with puppets by Suzie Templeton.
The puppets
are small works of art. Through magical pictures we
follow the story of Peter, whose duck is eaten by the wolf.
In 2008 it won an Oscar for best animated short film.
Instruction, regis and puppets dukker: Suzie Templeton
Music: London Philharmonia Orchestra

Two short films, made by Jan Svankmajer.
The Czech
surrealist has worked with animation in both film and
theatre, for example with Semafor theatre in Prague
and Laterna Magica.
These two short films are small
gems, visually beautiful, fascinating and very inspiring.
Today Jan Svankmajer is one of the most recognized
animators in the world.

The last Caravan
This is a film about the last representatives of the European tradition of travelling puppeteers, a part of European cultural history featuring marionette and hand puppet players from Slovakia, Czech Republic, Hungary and Germany.
Among others, you will meet Anton Anderle, whose beautiful and richly traditional performance was part of our Festival of Wonder 2003.
